ABOUT THE
OWNER & CHEF

Melayne A. Cromwell and her Daughter Lauren’s (M & L), southern roots run deep. Melayne’s Mom, Paulette was born and raised in a small town called Vacherie, Louisiana just a stone’s throw away from creole country. Melayne spent many days and summers down south with her 14 first cousins, 19 second cousins, 5 Aunts and 5 Uncles. Down home Southern and Cajun cuisine a delicacy Melayne felt a passion to share with others. Crab boils, Crawfish boils, Shrimp boils, Gumbo, Dirty Rice, Okra, Po Boys, King Cake, Pralines, Hurricane Punch and Big Shot Soda, etc. All unique specialties of the South. M & L’s Ragin Cajun was launched in 2021 to bring Cajun Cuisine to your doorstep.
